Inverter Technology for Precision Heating: At the heart of the InverElite V3 lies
The question on most pool owners lips as more and more options come out into the market is MagnaPool conversion, everyone has heard of the benefits and heard of the many options with minerals and magna pool. I want to go though a few things about minerals and magna pools as it can be confusing wondering what is true.
This product is one of the only on the market that does not contain any salt, it’s made up of a patented blend of magnesium chloride and potassium chloride. Things like aquatherepe made by astral and the dead sea minerals are not the same chemically as Zodiac’s Magna pool. This makes it easier to convert and generally you can start using them instead of salt instantly in your backyard pool. Once Magna pool minerals are added to your pool you’ll notice a difference in the feel and taste (I however don’t recommend you drink it). The water has a gentle, silky feeling against your skin; there is little or no irritation to your eyes (mind you if you let your PH go out of control you will know) and your hair won’t need washing to get rid of that chlorine smell or sticky salt feeling associated with chlorine and saltwater pools. We have also noticed some customers like to swim in the water that have eczema and skin irritations and say it helps. The taste is a little weird, I believe it is mostly because of the person’s deficient level of magnesium. Don’t be concerned but it is ‘metallic-y’, that’s the only way I can describe it. I did get used to it but I don’t really drink the water much and recommend you don’t 😛
There is much talk in the industry about the difference between MagnaPool systems and mineral pools and yes there is a difference. Lets be honest a lot of shops and pool builders like to use those words loosely and have you believe you are getting a genuine MagnaPool. I guess this is sort of true; it just depends on what you came in wanting and what they lead you to believe you were getting, as this can be in fact different. To put all the cards on the table the makeup is just different and mineral pool conversion is easier and offers some of the benefits Zodiac Magna Pool Minerals have. Zodiac Element minerals and many other pool suppliers offer a mineral option, most come as Sodium chloride & Magnesium chloride (please note some are different). All these will be a good change from salt or chlorine pools and offer better feeling water and some health benefits at a cheaper cost. If you are looking at the most cost effective option I would go the Mineral pool option.
Let me explain what you need to do for the Zodiac genuine Magna Pool conversion. If you are building a new pool (YAY!) you can start off with Magna pool minerals instantly and get the benefits. If not you need to complete the below.
Once you have your Magna pool installed, it is time to talk about the maintenance side of things. Much like salt or chlorine pools the normal maintenance is needed. Every month we recommend you check you chemistry including salinity levels and correct if needed. You should preform a backwash monthly, however with glass media backwashing is not always needed so check your pressure first. All water test parameters remain as per standard water testing and treatment like a saltwater pool. However, magnesium will cause the hardness reading to appear unusually high. We recommend checking this once a season and using a scale stop is always a great thing.
As always please hit us up with any questions or quires as each pool is different, we are here to help 😛
